Gomez's Story...
Gomez is an athletic, mellow, smart, loyal and handsome, four-year-old, 50-pound, male, pit bull terrier looking for a dog-experienced and loving guardian.

Gomez has been living with a dog trainer who describes him as a sophisticated dude. He’s not the kind of dog to jump up on you and lick your face. Instead, he is respectful and curious. He enjoys affection, playing fetch and going for walk/runs or bike rides. Like all dogs he needs exercise to keep him healthy, but he is basically a low-key couch potato. He is well-mannered in the home, housebroken and crate trained.

While Gomez is very curious about other dogs, he was never properly socialized with other animals when he was a puppy. His dog trainer has worked with him to help him feel comfortable around other dogs but he will do best as the only dog in the home. He will likely be able to have select dog friends as long as their play-time is supervised. He is not good with cats. He knows the commands sit stay and paw, walks well on leash and is receptive to learning more.

If you are looking for a very well trained and respectful dog - Gomez is your man. Complimentary in-home training is included with his adoption fee of $200.

He is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. He is currently being fostered and trained in Chicago, Illinois.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gomez, a Chicago American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
