Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Licorice: 4 - 5 month old MALE black Maine Coon mix
His shelter name was Courtney, for a female kitten, when he went in to the shelter vet to get spayed. So he has a spay incision, but the vet found no female parts to remove because it turned out he was an already neutered male. Ooops. Can't call him Courtney and I don't want to call him Curt or Neil. So he became Licorice-- hardly an original name for a fluffy little sweet heart but he is yummy enough to eat. If you walk within 6 or 8 feet of him he starts to purr loudly. He just wants to cuddle with you and be held. You could hold him for hours.
He came from a Central Valley shelter and he is a perfect little boy . How did such a beautiful, already neutered, super well socialized kitten end up at this super high kill shelter? It is hard to imagine. Someone sure loved him. He feels a little dusty and needs a bath but we will wait til his incision heals over before we have the fun of bathing him. His fur is super soft. "Cottony" I was told. His ears are growing nice tufts. You can see how plush his tail is and how big his paws are. He is just a perfect little kitten - loving, playful, healthy and happy. He will grow into an extra beautiful boy.
