Camden Hughes's Story...
This little guy is one of the few dogs we've seen whom life has been so bad, that he thought his time at the shelter was a spa visit. If you look closely at his shelter photograph, you'll see a blur by his rear left leg. It is his tail wagging. We don't know his exact circumstances, but eating regularly wasn't on the agenda.

Camden's life has just taken a dramatic turn for the better. A foster came forward almost immediately after his photo was posted on Facebook. Just wait until you see the "after" pics! After a month or two in a caring and kind home and regular meals will have this fellow looking nothing like the photo! Stay tuned!

2/12/13 Update from Camden's foster mom upon sending us the photo at the top: He's so handsome in this pic! I just wanted people to see how great he's doing. He's really such a joy to have around. Always happy...which is surprising since he was practically starved. He's not skinny anymore!"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Camden Hughes, a Waldorf Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
