Sasha's Story...
This beautiful girl is Sasha, a 1 1/2 year old pit mix that came to us as a stray. How someone coud've let this wonderful girl go is a mystery. Sasha is deaf, but she doesn't let this hold her back. She responds well to hand signals so she has had some training. She is so much fun! She loves to play and run, and just LOVES being with people. She's curious about everything and just loves to be outside sniffing and checking out the world around her. She walks well on a leash and takes treats very gently. She also has excellent manners around the dinner bowl! This beautiful girl really deserves a loving home...please consider opening yours to her! 2/10/11

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sasha, a Forked River Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
