Josey's Story...
This gorgeous girl is Josey, a 4 year old Australian cattle dog mix that came to us from our Newark facility in hopes of getting a great home. Lovely little Josie was found as a stray and it's quite sad that someone would let this sweetheart go. Josie just loves all of the new friends that she's made and looks forward to making more every day! She is just so outgoing and happy that you can't help but stop and say hello when you see her. Josie is very well behaved and will sit and offer you a pawshake if you ask. She walks very well on a leash and plays gently with her toys too. Josie is very affectionate and will hop right up in your lap to be closer to you. She has lots of love to give and just needs a great family to share it with. Josie gets along well with other dogs and loves people of all ages. Please give this beautiful girl the wonderful home that she's dreaming of! 12/5/12 File#22108

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Josey, a Forked River Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
