Lilli Lou's Story...
Looking for an extremely affectionate lap warmer? Then Lilli Lou is the girl for you. She is about 2 yrs old and 8 lbs of love. When she first met her foster parents she was very shy, but she has now come out of her shell and follows them everywhere. She loves to sit in their laps and enjoys being the center of the universe (as any little princess deserves to be!). She is healthy and active but really loves to cuddle. She would prefer to be the only dog since she can be a tad jealous when she is sitting on her foster parent’s lap, but she doesn’t seem to mind other dogs or cats in the house. If you are interested in meeting Lilli Lou, please go to www.rescueachi.com and fill out an application or check out our site for dog adoption events to see Lilli Lou in person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilli Lou, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
