Kat's Story...
This adorable little guy is Kat, a 7 year old male parson russell terrier that came to us from Maryland in search of a great home. This sweetie was turned into a shelter when his owners could no longer care for him and we're so happy to have him! Kat is such a little gentleman…of course when you go to see him, he barks a little, but when he is out for a walk or playing with one of his many friends in our exercise yard, he is such a quiet little angel! He prances around with a ball in his mouth, and drops it at your feet for you to throw for him. Kat would prefer a home with no cats, but loves people of all ages. Kat is seriously a perfect little guy….he’s just waiting for the perfect family to come along! 3/18/12 File#21368

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kat, a Forked River Parson Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Parson Russell Terrier for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Parson Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Parson Russell Terrier breeders who help with Parson Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
