Ginger's Story...
This gorgeous girl is Ginger, a three year old lab/hound mix that came to us from Tennessee in search of a wonderful home. Ginger came into the TN shelter as a stray and it's sad to think of Ginger wandering the streets all alone, especially when she is such a, "people person". She absolutely loves wouldn't believe the huge smile she puts on as soon as she sees one of her new friends approaching with a leash! Ginger stands on her hind legs to gently greet everyone with a hug when they come to see her. Ginger is not a jumper and is calm and well behaved, she just wants to be close to you. She is just the happiest girl and the type that never stops wagging her tail. Ginger gets along great with other dogs and loves people of all ages. She would do well in any home where she will be loved and cared for, and welcomed into the family. Please give our gentle Ginger the great home she is dreaming of! 1/12/13 File#22216

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a Forked River Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
