My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome hound is James, a 1 1/2 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound that came to us from Tennessee in search of a great new home. James wound up in the southern shelter when he was a stray, and what a shame that someone let this sweetheart go! It seems that James may have missed a few meals during his time as a stray because when he eats, he acts as if it's the first meal he's had in weeks! He is quite a foodie and very enthusiastic about his meals. He is NOT food aggressive though, and did just fine sharing with several dogs in his foster home down south. James is such a happy and friendly guy. He is just a little shy at first, but he makes friends so quickly and will be loving you and hugging you within minutes of meeting you! James is very well behaved too. He walks perfectly on a leash and is so gentle. He also loves to spend time in our exercise run, roaming around and checking things out. It seems no one ever played much with James because he likes to run after a ball or toy, but doesn't quite know what to do when he gets it! James gets along great with dogs and loves people of all ages. He would fit in perfectly with any loving family! Please give James the wonderful home that he's been hoping for, and make his dreams come true! 1/12/13 File#22213
