Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

We think Toaster is about 6-7 months months old. This is her story.

The current helper and care provider for Toaster owns a nursery out in the country. Toaster showed up there one day as a tiny kitten. She was emaciated and would hide from everyone but would eat scraps from the crew's lunches when no one was around. After a few days, she took up residence under the deck in front of the nursery office. She would run away if anyone got too near, but people started feeding her some kitty crunchies, and over time she began
to be a little less scared. At least she would talk at everyone in the office from the safety of the deck! After a little while she was able to be coaxed out for petting. Finally she let herself be brought into the office with a warm roof and plenty of comfy beds.

Toaster's name comes from the fact that she was a brave "little toaster," having survived the perils of being out in the country with barn owls, coyotes, and snakes. (At this point, she is afraid to go outside any more, which is a good thing because there are owls and coyotes prowling around in the area at night.) But she is also living up to her name in other ways, because she is is warm as toast now and sweet as marmalade! She is very social, curious, and playful. She loves to run through the office, and will make almost anything into a toy. When she is tired, she will curl up in a lap or sleep peacefully in the sun or near where you are.

At this point, Toaster needs a much better home than can be provided at the nursery. She need to live the rest of her life indoors and safe in an actual home. She is good with other cats but is afraid of dogs. Maybe dogs remind her of the coyotes she used to see in the scary old days.

Toaster is fostered in the Sacramento. Please open up your heart to adopted this precious kitten.

She will come to you spayed, vaccinated, tested and microchipped.
