Levi's Story...

Hi! My name is Levi! I'm a young, neutered male, shorthaired brown tabby cat who needs someone to love for life. I look like an Abyssinian cat and my outgoing nature and intelligence fits the mold too. I have a lot of personality and love to give! My owner passed away and I ended up outside on my own. Luckily, some nice neighbors rescued me and the other cats I used to live with, but we all got sent to different shelters and rescues. I miss my pals and enjoy the companionship of other cats. I like to play and I love being petted, having my head and ears scratched and exploring. I spend my afternoons batting around my ball and bell, batting at the dangling toys and cuddling with my feline pals also in foster care. I'm a curious guy and I enjoy chasing my toys and playing with other kitties. I am 100% litterbox trained and just looking for love. Adopt a handsome mini tiger like me! You'll be so glad you did! Adoption fee: $60

Adoption and Foster Care Application: https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dDFIYXdMYUdlVXEwT0l4cGpOM2lhSHc6MQ

Adoption Process:
Complete the application at the link above or send an email to info@pawsforliferescue.org to tell us which pet you're interested in and we'll send you a questionnaire that will help us make the best match for you and your new pet. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Levi, a Troy Abyssinian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Abyssinian for sale in Troy, or seeking a Abyssinian cat from a breeder in Troy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Abyssinian breeders who help with Abyssinian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
