Meowy's Story...
Meowy! Is a friendly, loving female kitty. Meowy came into our home and was introduced to several other cats and she got along with them all from day one. She is quite brave and does not have an aggressive bone in her body. She knows her names and comes when called. She is trained to come when we tap on her food bowl. She will do anything for chicken! Meowy is curious with the kittens we are fostering and with the dog that comes to visit. She would do great in a house with another pet and children. Meowy was born around 9/7/12.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meowy, a New York Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New York, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
