Punky's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, declawed, good with kids, and not good with cats.

Punky's Story...
This handsome orange boy is Punky, a 9 year old kitty that has been dreaming of a home of his own for so long now. Punky came to us way back in March 2011 when his owner turned him in. It's not that Punky did anything wrong, it's that his owner was no longer allowed to have him where she was living. Punky had two ear infections that were left untreated for quite some time, which resulted in hematomas...that is the reason for the appearance of his ears. Although his ear infections were neglected, his owner did have him declawed unfortunately, but Punky doesn't hold any of this against anyone and has put his past behind him. He is perfectly healthy now and ready to start over in a great home. Punky is such a loving and affectionate guy that loves making new friends. He would prefer a home with no other cats but just loves people. Punky would make such a loyal and loving companion for someone that will welcome him with open arms, and give him the happy life that he so deserves. File#20326 3/3/11

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Punky, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
