Jasper's Story...
Jasper is a 3 year old gold lab mix. He has an easy-going temperament, but he is also active with lots of energy. Jasper does quite well with other dogs, and he's a lot of fun in doggie day care. He hasn't had any accidents in his run at the kennel where he is staying temporarily. Jasper rides fairly well in a car, so a trip to the dog park is right up his alley! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jasper, a Richmond Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
