Sally - Sweet!'s Story...
Adopted March 2013 Meet sweet Sally! She is a 2 month old red Miniature Pinscher with undocked tail. She isn't spayed as she is too young, but her spay and vaccines/deworm up to 6 months will be included in her adoption fee. She has had her first shots, is deflead and dewormed. Currently, Sally is 3.8 pounds but will grow up to 10 or 20. This little girl's breed is strong-willed and needs solid, consistent training with firm guidance with an experienced dog owner. ONLY SERIOUS APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED! Sally would prefer a home with no small children as her teeth are very sharp and she doesn't know when she's being too playful! Sally is friendly, cuddly, assertive and good with dogs of all sizes. Sally finds cats to be an interesting part of life and loves to, playfully, chase them, wrestle with them and sleep with them. Sally is crate-trained and house trained (although she is still a puppy and can't "hold it" for long, so she will need to go out frequently to prevent accidents). Being a small dog, Sally gets cold outside so she may need a sweater (won't she look adorable?). It has been said that she is good off-leash but her foster mom doesn't want to take the chance in this weather. Sally has BOUNDLESS energy. She runs around playing like a maniac, then crashes for a power nap. A home with easily-irritated or calm pets isn't ideal as Sally is persistent in giving attention and some pets may not appreciate this. She loves to lick! Sally is a very sweet, well-behaved puppy. She doesn't mind being crated during the night, and she loves to be with her human companions. She follows them everywhere and is very cuddly.

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a volunteer-based, donation-only service that provides non-judgemental, supportive help for people who are surrendering their companion animals. We also provide support to people who are looking for a new furry addition to their family. We: -provide free advice and suggestions to people who are experiencing issues with their pets, including but not limited to behavioural issues, training advice, surrender help, and much more -spay/neuter education, advice and referrals -put ads up on petfinder.com and kijiji and around the community -screen potential new homes over the telephone by asking many in-depth questions -do a home visit to make sure the people are "as good as they sound on the phone" -contact their vet and do a vet check to make sure they get a good reference -provide transportation from the old home to the new home -get the old owners to sign a Surrender Form -get the new owners to sign an Adoption Agreement Form This is done on a donation-basis only and circumstances may vary based on the situation. We believe in the power of community, respect and inclusion. Our volunteers have over 10 years experience in the animal rescue field, have rescued hundreds of animals, have worked in the field and have College Diplomas in Animal Care Work. We are committed to helping people find homes for their pets because we care about our community and love animals. If you are someone who is surrendering their animal we know how hard it can be and we know you would want your pet to go to the right home, not a home where your pet will be subjected to neglect, cruelty and abuse.
