Meet Mollie, a beautiful little miniature pinscher that is around 5 1/2 years old. Mollie has already had two homes in her young life, and now is looking for a permanent one. This beautiful little min pin has lots of personality, and can be extremely lovable and sweet when she learns that she can trust you. She has made so many good friends and when one goes to take her for a walk, her little tails wags like crazy, and she is all smiles. Mollie has some trust issues, and it may take her a while to warm up to people. She would prefer a quiet one, or two person household, with no children. She also needs an experienced pet owner, and one that will have the patience to get Mollie adapted to a loving, safe home. The Associated Humane Societies, founded in 1906, is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey. We comprise three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls . Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park Zoo. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park Zoo is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501 (c) 3 organization, and Popcorn Park is also a federally licensed zoo. The Society prides itself on our devotion to the thousands of animals that we care for annually and the chance for a better life we offer them. Our animal shelter is open to the public Monday through Friday from 12pm to 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm.
We require a completed adoption application which can be obtained at our facility, or from our website: www.ahscares.org. We also require proof of home ownership if you own, or a copy of a lease stating that pets are allowed with no restrictions if you rent. We require vet records for any pets owned in the last five years as well. Our adoption fees vary based on age, breed, etc. Please call our facility for exact fee 609-693-1900.
We are the primary Animal Control for Barnegat, Waretown, West Creek, Surf City. We take in animals in need from all of the country.
