Here's what the humans have to say about me:
my name is Gretchen and I am a small 3 year old little lady about 19 pounds.
I rode a long way from an Ohio Shelter to my Foster Home in Wisconsin thanks to the nice people from BREW. I was so scared that I curled up and just rode quietly all the way.
I am trying to come out of my shell so to speak, but I am still very very shy. I need a lot of reassurance to do things like go outside, come out of my crate or join the family in the living room for a movie. I like my crate and would stay in there all the time if my foster family didn't lock me out of it. I just feel so secure either in my crate or on my favorite dog bed out of the way of everyone and everything.
I am very sweet and enjoy sitting on your lap if you pet me and reassure me a lot.
I love to go outside in the fenced yard and check out all the smells. Sometimes I even get a burst of energy and run around and around the backyard really fast!
I never make messes in the house and have a great disposition: I am super gentle, and in fact I have never barked!
Because I am so shy, I don't think I would do well in a home that has small children. I need a predictable routine to follow and I sure wouldn't mind another dog or cat to hang out with.
I just know there is a perfect forever home out there for me somewhere!
