Moose's Story...
*****Adoption Pending*****

Moose is a 4 year old female who would do best as an only dog in an active family home with a fenced yard. Moose is good on a leash and listens well. Moose will be protective of her home but warms up fairly quickly. She does best with women but will warm up to men once she trusts them. She has a docked tail so she does the typical Aussie Wigglebutt when she is happy. Moose loves to have her belly scratched and loves to sit and cuddle with you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moose, a Elk River Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Elk River, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Elk River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elk River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elk River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elk River paves the way for another one to be saved.
