Hercules's Story...
Check out this fluffy white pile of vanilla handsome with big furry cheeks and matching furry toes. So tall and regal! He has an alpha male personality and needs to be the Big Kahuna in the cat hierarchy. He likes having cat companionship but definitely needs to wear the furry pants in the relationship. He loves to play chase and we call the game Get You! which entails chasing him around like a not-too-scary monster. He is not big on tummy rubs but loves a good chin scratch and to be brushed. Have any spare kissies? Our Hercules likes to be kissed and is waiting for the right someone to pucker up! Hercules was born 2008.

If you are interested in learning more about Hercules, or know someone who might be interested, please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com or Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com.

We are always in need of foster homes. If you are not able to adopt, but are interested in fostering or know someone who might be, we would love to hear from you! Please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com or Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com to learn more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hercules, a Chicago Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
