Tristan's Story...
Tristan is a 3 year old setter mix that was recently rescued from a rural animal shelter. He is calm in the house and has nice house manners. Tristan is smart and attentive and is a fast learner. He is crate-trained and working on house-training in his foster home. Tristan is a very friendly boy. He loves playing with toys and tries to carry several in his mouth at the same time...cute! He also loves playing with other dogs and he behaves beautifully with cats! He also rides perfectly in the car and LOVES to go! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tristan, a Richmond Setter (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Setter (Unknown Type) for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Setter (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Setter (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Setter (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
