Taco's Story...
Meet Taco, a 3 yr old, 10 lb Maltese/Yorkie mix. He is very affectionate and loves to sit on your lap any chance he gets. He likes sleeping at your feet on the bed with his own blanket and likes going for rides in the car. He likes kids of any age and will play with other dogs. He likes to play ball with you or he can entertain himself. He grew up with a boxer for a big brother and Taco was the leader. He is protective of his family and home. If you would like a loving family dog, then Taco is the one for you. If you are interested in meeting Taco, please go to our website at and fill out an application, or check out our schedule of events and meet Taco and his foster brothers and sisters in person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taco, a San Diego Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
