Britta is a beautiful Black and Cream 7 yr old Female German Shepherd. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations, flea, tick prevention. She was just recently treated for heartworms so needs to take it easy until mid April with leash walks and limited exercise/activity until she feels 100%.
Britta was rescued out of a high kill shelter where sadly she was adopted out from as a puppy originally dumped at the age of 3 months old and then dumped again by the adopters of the shelter due to moving at the age of 7. Clearly her former family did not take good care of her due to her heartworm infestation. Her teeth are very bad too so she will need dental work sometime in the future.
Since being in foster care Britta is doing Great. She is sweet, affectionate, loves to be by your side, loves car rides and is good on a leash. She is crate trained and listens very well. She has exceptional recall but doesn’t know basic commands such as sit or down. We are however working with her now on basic obedience. Britta will do well with any family but a home without small/young children is preferred, she is a bit shy at first and little kids overwhelm her.

An application needs to be completed prior to a meet and greet. All dogs in rescue are temperament tested and have basic obedience implemented as a part of their daily routine. All behavioral issues are dealt with according to each case scenario. All dogs prior to going home are up to date on all vaccinations, neutered and or spayed, and microchipped.
Adoption fees range from $100 - $450 depending on age, degree of personalized training, and if proof of bloodlines can be provided.
Application, home-check, and references must be approved prior before final adoption.
