Lola (PENDING)'s Story...
Arrival story: Lola was found as a stray and brought to a rural shelter up north.

Approximate age: 7 Months old.

Personality: Don't let her breed mix fool you - Lola is the most loving and social girl around!!! She LOVES people and LOVES other dogs. Currently, she is in a home with 4 adult dogs who vary on breed and size. She is potty trained, crate trained, and is an incredibly fast learner! She is a little sponge, just willing to soak up what you're willing to teach her. She is very active and loves to play with toys and other dogs. She is also great around kids! Lola is also very cuddly!!!! She wants to snuggle all the time.

Forever home: Lola would do well in many situations. Hopefully her new home with have a friendly dog with similiar energy level and she will need a home that is willing to give her outlets for her energy - running, long walks, play time with other dogs. Hopefully, her new family will seriously consider taking her to obiedence training since she is so highly trainable!

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175, or $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check for the dates of our next adoption events. With few exceptions, we show our adoptable animals on Saturdays from 12pm - 3pm at Petco in Novi (on Novi Rd south of 12 mile) or PetSmart in Canton (the northwest corner of Ford Rd and Haggerty Rd). Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).

Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.

Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lola (PENDING), a Northville Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Northville, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Northville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Northville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Northville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Northville paves the way for another one to be saved.
