Spanky's Story...
Spanky is a sweet, shy, loving, agile, and very playful, three-year-old, seven-pound, male Chihuahua/RatTerrier-mix looking for a loving guardian.

Spanky is very affectionate and he’s so happy that his tail is always wagging. He adores people and is great with other dogs and cats. He is living in a foster home where he has proven housebroken and crate-trained.

Spanky loves to go for walks and is great on leash. When he meets new people he takes a little while to warm up, but after that he’s a phenomenal companion.

Spanky is healthy, de-wormed, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. To meet and possibly adopt Spanky, please contact Chris at christine6206@aol.com or 630-699-1480. His adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued dogs of Famous Fido’s Rescue and Adoption Alliance. He is being fostered in Naperville, Illinois.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spanky, a Chicago Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
