Odin's Story...
Odin is between 1.5 – 2 yrs old and was rescued by a family that could no longer keep him. Instead of putting him back in the shelter they found a foster home to care for him until his forever family came along. Odin is a mellow little guy that loves to cuddle, is very smart and knows some basic commands. He is a family dog that would love a stay at home person so he doesn't have to be left alone. Odin is good with other dogs and is learning how to live with cats but will chase them if they run. Due to his high prey drive he will go after small animals like rabbits or squirrels. Odin is crate trained and feels safe in his kennel when no one is at home with him. He would do ok with older children but can get a little scare with a lot of commotion going on with younger kids. He enjoys car rides, hikes, dog parks and just about anything he can do with his people.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Odin, a Denver German Shepherd Dog/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Denver, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
