Axle's Story...
Axle is one of a litter of eight puppies that were surrendered at Levy County Animal Services at about 8 weeks of age (born approx 1/22/2013). He is playful and affectionate and ready to be part of a loving family. As of mid-July he weighed 35 pounds. Axle is crate-trained, house-trained and uses a doggie door with ease. He has had his neuter surgery, got his rabies shot and is microchipped = He's all ready to be your little buddy!! He plays well with other dogs, and has had limited exposure to cats. (I'm sure he could learn, if trained.) We have him current on flea and heartworm prevention. If you'd like to meet him, please contact Ms. Jody (by phone or text) at (352)316-5155 or email her at HeflinJ@bellsouth.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Axle, a Williston Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Williston, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Williston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Williston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Williston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Williston paves the way for another one to be saved.
