Tank's Story...
Tank is one of a litter of eight puppies that were surrendered at Levy County Animal Services at about 8 weeks of age (born mid-late January?) He is playful and affectionate and ready to be part of a loving family. He was always the biggest one in the litter - and has a big, lovable teddy-bear personality. At 16+ weeks old (mid-May) he weighed 33 pounds. We have even started crate-training him! If you'd like to meet him, please contact Ms. Jody (by phone or text) at (352)316-5155 or email her at HeflinJ@bellsouth.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tank, a Williston Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound for sale in Williston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound puppy from a breeder in Williston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Williston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Williston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Williston paves the way for another one to be saved.
