Hope's Story...
Hope came in with her little friends Elroy & Millie and they were strays , picked up during their morning walk. Hope is quite tiny and has a longer snout like a collie or sheltie. Since she had her spa treatment and a few good meals. Now she is all happy & waggy !! She is probably about 3-5 years old and maybe all of 15-20 pounds. A sweet little thing who wants to be an inside dog and needs someone to cuddle with. Available for adoption now. Hope, Elroy & Millie all came in together. Dog friendly!

Hope will be arriving at the START II shelter on Saturday, April 20th. If you are interested in meeting Hope, please call (201) 797-8861 or email to schedule an appointment after her arrival.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hope, a Elmwood Park Beagle/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Collie for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Beagle/Collie dog from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Collie breeders who help with Beagle/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
