Fiona's Story...
This beautiful little lady is Fiona, a boxer mix that is about 2 ½ years old. This petite little girl came to us when she was picked up as a stray, and a very lucky one at that! She came very close to being hit by a car, so Fiona has been thanking her lucky star’s ever since. Fiona is absolutely bubbling with personality! Her looks are very deceiving too…when you go to see her, she is all curled up and quiet on her fluffy bed. But once you take her out for a walk, this little girl shows you the real Fiona! She is fun-loving, happy, friendly and so very affectionate. She couldn’t love people more if she tried! Fiona has lots of energy and just loves playtime in our exercise yard. It seems that no one ever played with her much in her former home and she is definitely making up for lost time now. Fiona is hoping for a great home with a nice big yard to run in, and an active family that will give her plenty of exercise. She doesn’t seem to mind other dogs and is very well behaved too. Please give our sweet and funny Fiona that fresh start in life that she deserves! 2/14/13 File#22277

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiona, a Forked River Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
