Hercates's Story...
This adorable young lady is Hercates, a 2 year old lab/pit mix that came to us when her owner could no longer keep her. We are so happy to have this bright and outgoing beautiful pup! Hercates is the type to never let anything get her down. She is constantly smiling and her rear end never stops wiggling with delight when she meets people. She is so puppyish and fun loving, and just wants to run, play and make friends. Hercates never met anyone she didn't like and she doesn't seem to mind other dogs either. She is a strong young girl and will need a bit of training for leash-walking, but she is already making such progress just while wearing a harness. She is so smart and will learn in no time! Hercates is so eager to start her young life over again with a great family that will love her forever. Please make her dreams come true! 2/28/13 File#22300

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hercates, a Forked River Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
