This gorgeous girl is Zena, a 4 year old German shepherd that came to us from our Newark facility in search of a great new home. Zena was found wandering the streets all alone, and we can't imagine how this pretty lady came to be a stray. Zena is all German shepherd, and she has the strength and intelligence to prove it. She is very people focused and just loves everyone she meets. She will sit very politely when asked, offer a pawshake for a treat, and is very gentle. Zena is a strong girl and while she walks well on a leash, she will need an experienced dog owner to walk with her. Zena does not care for other animals and tends to pull toward them when she sees them outside. She will need a home with no other pets. Zena is very smart, and she's loving and affectionate too. It only takes Zena a minute or two to know you before she's climbing in your lap and looking for hug and a kiss.
