Facts about Toby Waterdog

  • Breed: American Bulldog Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Toby is an 18 month old lap dog, almost 70 lbs, with wonderfully muscled back legs. Toby is mainly a rare breed of American Bulldog (with a touch of Staffordshire Terrier). When you see his strong back legs, you can tell his tail is the kind that is often seen cropped, at dog shows. But fortunately for Toby, his beautiful tail and ears have stayed intact, making him as handsome as they come.

Toby likes to jump in the pool, so he may love the ocean. He has not been socialized around small dogs, and he has not met a cat who didn't hiss at him, so we would like Rocky to be with a breed similar to him who is not aggressive, and who can either ignore his clownish urge to play, or play along with him in a nice mannerly and friendly way.

We have included the photo we took of him at the shelter so you can see how terribly sad he was there. Now Toby loves tummy rubs and will roll over when he sees you coming, you would be certain he is just a lap pup.

Toby is house trained, neutered, vaccinated, had vet exam, and is ready and waiting for the wonderful home we know will soon be his :o)

About The Nature Network, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

The Nature Network, Inc., is a non profit 501c3 federal tax exempt organization, publicly supported and existing entirely with the generous help of animal loving people. We rescue dogs, cats, horses, other domestic pets, birds, and wildlife, some on their last day of life from Los Angeles area pounds, and we work with local wildlife rescue organizations to save wildlife and birds (injured or orphaned). We love animals very much, and feel there can never be enough help for all animals in need, or enough loving homes or enough birth control for the domestic ones.

We are currently seeking grants, donors and sponsors to purchase the animal sanctuary and education center we have found for the Nature Network in the Valley area of Los Angeles.

We are preparing to again produce and host a previously award winning television show about the rescue and protection of domestic and wild animals and preservation of natural habitats.

More information to come soon. Our website, www.thenaturenetwork.org is currently under re-design, and will be up and active soon.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Please become a sponsor for one of our special needs animals--dogs, cats, horses, and more, or please help support The Nature Network's rescue work with a tax deductible contribution. We will gladly and promptly provide you with a Nature Network Donation Receipt for your tax deductible donation, upon request. Our Paypal donation address is: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com In your Paypal Account, click on "personal", and then on "gift" to avoid fees.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoptable pets are boarded at kennels, veterinarians, foster homes and our friends' and family's homes. We sometimes also take part in Best Friends and Animal Planet adoption events. We recommend calling us to discuss your adoption needs. If it sounds like you would be happy and the pet would be happy, we can arrange for everyone to meet.
See our organization's info about our plans to purchase our dream animal sanctuary and humane education center---but not without your help.

Our Adoption Process...

After speaking by telephone, and coming to see our pet (if qualified), we will visit your home. If qualified, we bring our pet for a two week trial period with an application and contract. The adoption donation for dogs is $200-$350, and a $50-$150 adoption donation for cats and other small pets.
