Pedro's Story...
Attention Jack Russell fans.....have you met our boy Pedro? If not, what are you waiting for? Pedro is about 7 years old and is such a handsome and sweet little guy. He originally came to us from our Newark facility in May of 2012 after being picked up as a stray. Imagine this little guy, all alone in the big city? Pedro was adopted from us, but returned a month later for being temperamental with some people, and having accidents in the house. So, Pedro continues his search for that special someone to come along. Pedro is such a happy and fun little guy who enjoys a good walk or a run in our exercise yard. He just loves all of his friends, but can be a bit shy while meeting new people. Once he gets to know you, he'll be your best little friend for life. As is typical with the breed, Pedro can be a bit fussy at times, but experienced Jack Russell lovers will know that just goes along with being a JRT. Pedro would love a home with no other pets or small children, but he would be ideal for a quiet household, where he can chill out, take a snooze on a warm lap, take a walk with his best friends, and just be happy, forever. Please give our adorable little guy that chance that he deserves! 2/2/13 File#22259

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pedro, a Forked River Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
