My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hermes
5 Year Old Male Brown Spotted Tabby F4 Savannah Declaw
Home adoption from San Rafael

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Hermes, pronounced "Ermaiz", was named after the French designer. Hermes is a very social boy and he loves people and life itself. He is a very happy, easy going cat. He will be on your lap whenever you sit down and will jump into your arms. He likes to be held (not upside down) and loves to kiss you all the time. Hermes has a gentle, quiet personality and is not a big talker. He will give you one happy “Mirp”! to tell you he is glad to see you and be with you.

Hermes was a stud cat at one point in his life and has the really big jowls of a male altered later in life. He is a big, muscular boy and has large, deep green bedroom eyes. He looks like Russell Crowe in “The Gladiator”. There is no fat on him, although when he first came into his foster home he was not as "buff" as he is now.

Hermes foster mom is looking for a home that will keep him local in the Bay Area. He needs to be in an indoor only home. An outdoor enclosure would be an asset for fresh air and playtime during the day. Hermes would do best in a home with no other cats or with maybe one young, mellow female cat, an older dog that does not chase him, and/or older, cat savvy children only. Hermes would like a calm fun house with nobody pulling his tail. Please note that Hermes does not get along with male cats and is anxious around them, probably because of his breeding days. His foster mom has worked with a Cat Coach and the coach felt that Hermes does not have enough territory (horizontal and vertical) in his 1000 sq. ft. home to feel safe with the other males in the house.

Hermes is healthy, current on vaccinations, neutered and declawed.

If you think you are the person that can give Hermes the home and attention he needs, please call Constanza at 415-497-0818 or by email at constanzaperry@hotmail.com. Please note that Hermes is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with his caretaker in San Rafael who is placing him.
