My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy
9 Year Old Female Ruddy Abyssinian residing in Oakland, CA

COURTESY POST

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Lucy is a sweet 9 year old Abyssinian female with a quiet meow. She is a small girl, is curious and independent, and loves attention. You will love her riding along on your shoulder while you walk around the house. Lucy loves to sit in windows for long stretches of time watching the local fauna and flora. Lucy is an indoor only cat.

It is with a sad heart that her owners are looking for a new home for their sweet girl and doing what they think is best for her in the long run. There are two dogs in Lucy's home and one doesn't realize his strength and sees Lucy as a toy. Lucy's owners are concerned for her well-being, so Lucy is now restricted to one area of the house to prevent an unintended incident. Being an active, curious girl, they realize that Lucy needs more space than this and more attention than she is now getting.

"Abyssinians must be one of the most intelligent animals ever created. They are a very people-oriented cat. Not a lap cat…but a cat that likes to be with people, a cat that wants to know what you are doing – that wants to help. There is probably no breed anywhere more loyal than the Aby. Once you have acquired an Aby as a companion, you will never be able to complain that no one understands you. Abys are very good at training people to do just what they want them to do.” http://www.cfa.org/Breeds/BreedsAB/Abyssinian.aspx
