My story

Jazz is a sweet loving 7 yr old male. He needs a quiet home with an understanding person or two who’s willing to help build his confidence so one day he could be fear free.


Foster Home Update: Jazz is 7 year old boy who presently struggles with fear of people and unknowns. Unfortunately, Jazz's anxieties can cause him to be unpredictable, and have led him to engage in fearful, aggressive behaviors when he feels trapped or pressured. We have recently begun to address Jazz's behavioral concerns through environmental modifications, exercise and counter conditioning. Jazz is currently on medical hold while we evaluate his progress. We remain diligent in our efforts, and are hopeful his anxiety-driven responses can diminish given the proper time and patience.

The right adopter for Jazz is an experienced dog owner who can provide a reasonably quiet, balanced, consistent home environment. Jazz loves to go for walks and car rides, and really is a very sweet dog. There are no concerns with accidents in the house and he walks very nice on a lead. He does however, require time to adjust and build a trusting relationship. If you are an experienced dog owner who is willing to give a special dog a second chance, we look forward to working with you in our rescue efforts.
