Maddie's Story...
Maddie
6 Year Old Female Calico Persian
Fostered in Sacramento

COURTESY POST
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the foster and adopter to discuss this.

Poor Maddie. She was found trapped under an abandoned house, which had been foreclosed on, so she had obviously been left behind. When Maddie was found, her fur was torn off in a large area of her body as if she had been scalped and she was dragging it behind her. Thankfully, she is now shaved on both sides, which is probably a blessing, not only for her comfort, but for the long, hot days of summer.

Maddie has been to a local vet and is spayed and current on her vaccinations. She will need a dental in the near future but her teeth look very good after a round of antibiotics. Maddie weighs about 6 pounds. She gets along fine with the other cats, in her foster home, after initial hissing and likes to sleep with her foster mom.

Are you the right home for Maddie? If so, then contact, Katie Mack at 916-799-2957. Please note that Maddie is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing in the Sacramento area with her caretaker.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maddie, a Davis Persian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Persian for sale in Davis, or seeking a Persian cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Persian breeders who help with Persian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
