Lovey is a beautiful little terrier mix that is just over a year old. She was picked up as a stray in Newark and was quite terrified when she was brought in to the shelter there. She also had a severe injury to her eye that required surgery to remove it. She is getting around fine now with one eye and feeling great! Lovey really came out of her shell and is very friendly, affectionate, and super sweet. When you see Lovey in her run, she may bark at you a bit but that is mostly out of fear and excitement. When you meet her outside, she is a little lovebug! She seeks out attention and stands on her hind legs and nuzzles her head between your knees so you'll pet her. If you kneel down, she'll climb right up in your lap. This little girl just wants to be cuddled and loved. She loves running and playing in our exercise yard and is very gentle when she plays. She is very well behaved and seems to like other dogs too. Lovey would do well in just about any caring home with a family that promises to love her forever.
