My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone,
My name is Cheri and I'm a very sweet and loving bichon of three. I am housebroken,
love dogs, adults and children – why I love practically everything and everyone except elephants… Mom says I don't like elephants!)

Squeaky toys are my favorites, especially my stuffed bunny … and I’m quite the entertainer. I love my rubber bone and love to throw it in the air… why I’m pretty good at catching it too. Do you want to play? I LOVE to play… I play chase and hide and seek with my doggy brother and sister -- and I also like to ride in the car with the windows open and the air touching my face.

Mom says I LOVE to run in the yard. I’m pretty fast and boy! do I like my yard. I even love baths and grooming. I really just love life!

I'm affectionate but also independent. My kisses are the way that I show my love and gratitude. I lived with my Mom and her children since I was a puppy and they loved me to pieces. They said I do the cutest bichon buzz to show that I am happy. I make everyone smile when I do that.

I am also very versatile. While I love to be with my doggy brother and sister, I can also be the only fur kid in the home.

There is one big problem in my life, however - and it makes all of us very sad. In Mom's family, someone got very sick. Mom had to spend a lot of time taking care that someone and that meant leaving me alone. I’m so loving and happy to be with people that I didn’t do well left alone for hours on end. So, with great reluctance, Mom asked me to be a big girl and understand that I needed to find a new home. My new friends at Bichon FurKids know that there is some special family that is just looking for a sweet and loving little girl like me to be a part of their family – and will be able to be with me most of the time.

I hope you will complete our application at www.bichonfurkids.org so that we can meet. I'd love to celebrate the holidays in my Forever Home with my new family. Please ask for Cheri - I will be waiting to meet you.
