Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This young, active boy about 1 to 1.5 years old who loves intermittent episodes of full-tilt fetch, followed by a rest in your lap and repeat. Chase is on the smaller side, weighing in at about 50 lbs. He has a beautiful yellow coat and if you catch him at the right time, a tail that curves just a little too much, but adorable all the same.
Chase tends to the submissive side. He has probably encountered some not-so-nice humans in his past, judging by how timid he gets when voices are too loud and scary. His sweet temperament allows him to enjoy playing with other dogs, as well as people. He would do well in a home with another young dog who will scamper and play. He hasn't been around small children, but being young himself, he can get carried away in the moment and rough house too much for a very young child. He is housebroken and crate-trained. Now understand, he won't jump into the crate willingly, but he does not cry or whine after being coaxed in with a cookie.
Chase enjoys being active. When he is bored, he will go on sentry duty, peering out the window for any potential hostile intruders, like squirrels, cats, and bunnies! He likes to be outdoors if you are outside too, happily sniffing about, but is afraid of water. Playing fetch with a rope-toy or ball is one of his favorite activities and looks like he wants to play chase with the other dogs in the house (but they are old and uninterested). Chewing on a Nylabone is among his favorite quiet activities, along with snuggling on the couch and having his tummy rubbed.
A little timid at first, Chase blossoms with affection and will pay you back ten-fold with the love you give him.
