Colonel Sanders's Story...
COLONEL SANDERS--
The Kentucky gang is ready to go! Colonel is an 11 week old pug/chihuahua mix who loves to follow his brothers into trouble-- under the bed, finding stinky socks and playing tug-of-war with a leash!! Colonel is the smallest of his brothers at 5.3 pounds. He is such a sweet pup. However, with his small size he has got his head stuck between the baby gate at his foster family's house-- he let us know quickly! Colonel is expected to be under 15 pounds (the vet's best guess). He sleeps with his brothers in a crate at night and just learning about where to potty. He gets along great with other dogs and children.

He is learning potty training now and doing pretty good. He sleeps all night in the crate with his 2 brothers. He will be neutered on Friday, June 28th and go to the adoptathon on Sat. June 29th is all goes well. Anyone looking for a wonderful small puppy to call their own?

Colonel Sanders is microchipped, neutered & up to date on his shots and vaccines. Please complete an online application at www.rescueAhart.org if you'd like to meet him. Thanks

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Colonel Sanders, a Cincinnati Pug/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Chihuahua for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Pug/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Chihuahua breeders who help with Pug/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
