Rosie's Story...
Rosie is an adorable, sweet and very puppyish two-year-old, 10-pound, female, tri-color terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. Rosie loves to play with other dogs. She has not yet been cat-tested. She was found tied to a bench on Roosevelt Road in Chicago. Someone had left her with a cup of water and a bag of Doritos – dog food of champions. She is just the gentlest and most loving dog and I can’t even imagine who could abandon her in that way. Rosie is now de-wormed, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on preventative. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting her, please fill in the on-line adoption application at http://famousfidorescue.com/rescueforms/machform/view.php?id=26727 and follow up by contacting her foster mom Amy at amysusanbrennan@aol.com or 773-727-9340. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued pets of Famous Fido’s. She is being fostered in Chicago.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Chicago Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
