Athena’s Foster Home is located in Merritt Island, Fl

Athena is a Beautiful Black and Red, 2 yr old female German Shepherd. Athena is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, flea, tick and heartworm preventative.

Athena was owner surrendered into Rescue due to former family not having enough quality time to spend with her. Since Athena has been in Foster care she gets along fine with the other dogs in her foster home but she is extremely toy and food possessive around other dogs, not people. Therefore a home with submissive dogs preferred, and no cats because she will chase. Athena is good around mature children age 10 and up. She loves to “shep talk”, ride in cars, go for walks on leash. She has great house manners and has an independent type of personality. She will come over to you on her terms seeking affection. An application needs to be completed prior to a meet and greet. All dogs in rescue are temperament tested and have basic obedience implemented as a part of their daily routine. All behavioral issues are dealt with according to each case scenario. All dogs prior to going home are up to date on all vaccinations, neutered and or spayed, and microchipped.

Adoption fees range from $100 - $450 depending on age, degree of personalized training, and if proof of bloodlines can be provided.

Application, home-check, and references must be approved prior before final adoption.
