Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet Presley looks like a black lab/border collie/blue heeler mix). He is very young -- approximately 4 months old (as of 12-18-12) and was found running along a highway on a very cold night when the temps were in the 20's. Thank goodness he has polka dotted "socks" on his legs and feet or else he would not have been seen by a car or truck! He was picked up that evening and taken to PDR.
Through many resources, his owners have not made any attempts to locate him through flyers, ads in the paper, radio station announcements, or contact PDR and the Animal Shelter. We believe, from the small scars on the top of his little head, that he had been incarcerated in a very small fenced area and found a way out more than once.
December 21, 2012 Update: Presley will have his first DHLP-P today and his rabies vaccination next week. He is too young to be neutered at this time. He will need to be neutered in February/March.
February 13, 2013 Update: Presley is now neutered, we had his rear dewclaws removed for his own safety and comfort and he is current on shots. He is very affectionate, goofy, playful with even the smallest of dogs and accepts new doggies every day. This rough and tumble guy just wants to be (and should be) loved! He lives up to his nickname 'Monster'!
July 23, 2013 Update: This fella is extremely affectionate, playful and rambunctious! He walks very well on leash and listens well to commands. He is house trained, likes to go for car rides, is very well behaved at the vet's office, is very approachable (actually he'll jump on you to meet you--we're still working on that--using a water squirt bottle for corrections), is neutered and current on shots. This boy is very outgoing, is not a barker, and is very comfortable and playful with medium sized and smaller dogs.
December 10, 2013 UPDATE: Presley is an outgoing, friendly and affectionate young man who gets along and plays with other dogs large and small (even very small!), and is enthusiastic to meet and greet our visitors here at the Ranch, is very gentle around children. He loves to ride in the car, he's rambunctious but not hyper, he knows basic commands (sit/stay), he is house trained and walks well on a leash, though could use more training. Oh, and he loves to sneak into bed with you, if you let him! He would make a GREAT companion or family dog!
