UPDATE- Check out Lizzy's beautiful face after her cherry eye surgery! All she needs now is a home! She is housebroken and doesn't seem to mind cats!
Lizzy was saved from death row at a local pound just in time! This sweet 6-7 year old staffy bull/pittie mix was abandoned by her owners and was going to be killed through no fault of her own- there are just too many homeless dogs in NJ and not enough homes. We couldn't let this sweet girl die and squeezed her in even though we are already full. Lizzy is a happy cheerful girl who has no idea how close her life came to being over, and still loves people even though her former owners obviously didn't care much for her. She is about 35-40lbs with a short stocky body and little tiny legs, and the sweetest smile. Lizzy is in desperate need of a permanent or foster home to keep her until she can be adopted- please email us if you can help. We are also in need of funds to get her spayed and have her cherry eye repaired in order to get her ready for adoption- please consider donating toward her care even if you can't take her into your home! Thank you!
We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS). To help us better match a pet to your household, we request you fill out an application on our homepage www.secondchance.petfinder.com and copy and paste it into an email, or print it and bring it to our adoption day when you come. Local inquiries only please- we do not do long distance adoptions.
