My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lilly is a sweet young lab mix of about 1 1/2 years. She loves hiking in the woods, hanging around her human friends, and playing for HOURS with her canine friends. She can sit, lay down, high five, and stay (most of the time). Lilly, being a lover of tug-tug/chase me/runaround, will be a perfect addition to a home that already has an active dog or a home that gives her an opportunity for play dates/dog parks. She currently lives peacefully with her pit bull brother and a cat (who has gotten okay with Lilly licking his face). If you have a nice fenced in yard she'll be in heaven! She would love to be in a home where her human is around to hang out with lots. She is both house and crate trained. Lilly is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Lilly is on a fish & grain-free diet and weighs about 40 pounds.

Lilly is not a dog that likes the hustle and bustle of cities, so her new home must in the suburbs or country. It's not so much the cars that are the issue, but her uncertainty about men. Something must have happened to sweet Lilly early on in her life to make her so sensitive to men. That said, Lilly, with a calm and treat-filled introduction, has no problem with men in the home. But on the street, they seem quite scary. Someone that has experience building confidence in dogs via positive reinforcement would be a perfect fit. Lilly needs patience, love and understanding -- and a chance to be happy!
