Plantain's Info...

I am already spayed, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Plantain's Story...
Plantain is an adorable, sweet, playful and very tiny, 10-month-old, female orange tabby kitten looking for a loving guardian. Plantain loves to talk and follow you around. She gets along with everyone she meets … dogs, cats and people of all ages including children. She loves to snuggle and is very playful. Plantain has a slightly uncoordinated walk due to a very moderate case of cerebellar hypoplasia. It does not have a profound effect on her life, but she does have a little problem with depth perception. It took her a little while to learn to walk up and down stairs, she has perfect litter box habits. She drools when she’s very happy and sometimes her tongue hangs out when she’s playing. Plaintain is healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed and virus-tested. To meet and possibly adopt her, please call, e-mail or text her foster mom Katye at singsingkitty@yahoo.com or 815-603-1157. Her adoption fee of $95 benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Plantain, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
