Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, I'm Bali, a 9 year old, blue point Balinese looking for a new home. I am a super loving boy who craves your attention. My tail is a bit shorter than normal with a few kinks, see the legend about that below. I will purr and knead you all the while when being held. I have just come into the rescue and have not yet been tested with other cats or dog so for now they are no-nos. If interested in adopting me, please email ccrescue614@yahoo.com for an adoption application. Kinked tails is a recessive gene in the Siamese's heritage - just like the crossed eyes are in some Siamese. The legend is that when they were the "Royal Cats" in the palaces and temples of Siam, they would guard the perimeter of the palace and warn of intruders with their very loud voices. When the princess's took their baths they needed a safe place to put their rings. So they slipped them over the tail of their favorite cat. Then the cat would obligingly kink the ends of their tails so that the rings would not fall off. It's a lovely legend very befitting of such an aristocratic and beautiful cat.
