Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I am MAYBE.
Don’t be misled by my name because I can sure tell you some things about me that are definite. I am definitely one beautiful beagle boy. I am a copper nose beagle which makes me especially handsome; so handsome my name should be Red Beauty. I am not only beautiful but I am also one friendly fellow that just loves to be around my foster mom who thinks I should be called Velcro because I follow her everywhere. I love to cuddle and wag my tail and I even smile as you can tell by my photo.I am easy going and as you can tell I am gentle, so gentle that I even let my foster mom put me in a frog costume.
I came from a shelter in Ohio and the vet thinks I am about 6 to 7 years old. I am a big guy and am a 15 inch beagle. I am pretty fit and sturdy but my foster mom still watches my weight. I am still learning better table manners and am anxious about my food. I am the typical beagle, I LOVE my FOOD. I ride in the car with no trouble and I am housebroken.
I love to walk but I get so excited that I pull a little hard and my foster mom is teaching me to be more of a gentleman on the leash. Other than my excitement with walking and playing, I have a medium energy level. I like to be outside and smell all the new smells. But be warned, I should be called Houdini because I will do anything to try to get to that rabbit or squirrel that is on the other side of the fence. I have tried to fit myself through the gate and have even tried to dig under the fence. It is a good thing that I love to be around my foster mom or I would keep trying to escape. At first I thought the household cat was a prey animal but I got used to her and just ignore her. I am good around the smaller dogs and although there are no children around I seemed to like the young kids that come into the yard to visit.
I sure do like attention and to have my belly rubbed. I get sad when my foster mom goes to work and I cry for a while but then I just go over to my beagle sister and get ready for a long nap. I do not like to be in a crate so I sleep right beside her in our pet bed. I also love to play with my beagle sister. We chase after each other and have a great time. I like my squeaky toys and I sometimes I chew them apart but I am good at not chewing things I am not supposed to.
Overall, I am just a happy, handsome beagle that loves to be loved. The only thing that I am not sure about is whether maybe I can be your next best friend.
