Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shekina
DOB 6/15/13 Female Abyssinian Mix
Fostered in West Sacramento
Shekina is a darling Abyssinian mix kitten with an exquisite “ticked” coat, meaning that each hair has bands of dark and light color, for a striking visual effect. Like most Abyssinians, she is active and intelligent, but she is also unusually calm for a kitten. She is sweet and loves to snuggle in her foster mom’s arms.
We are glad to have gotten such a clear portrait shot of Shekina, because in it you can see her facial expression, full of alertness and sensitivity. It probably won’t surprise you to hear that not only is she attentive and sympathetic to her humans, but she gets along beautifully with other cats, giving them their own space and dignity. She would be a fine addition to a family with gentle, thoughtful children.
Shekina is spayed, vaccinated, confirmed negative for FeLV, and microchipped.
She is fostered in West Sacramento

We always require families with children to bring their children to the adoption appointment, so we can observe the child’s behavior and how the cat reacts. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
